Tanzania Communication and Development Center (TCDC) is a local non-profit organization that aims to be a leader in Social Behavior Change Communication and Development in Tanzania. The organization’s vision is to create empowered households and communities that are happy and healthy. TCDC seeks to achieve this by improving the health and wellbeing of households and communities through equipping them with the skills, tools, and mindset needed to live happy and healthy lives.
Recently, TCDC has been sub-contracted by Chemonics International Inc to provide technical leadership and implementation assistance in Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) for the Lishe Mtambuka Activity, also known as the Regional Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Activity. The project is funded by USAID and will be implemented in five targeted regions of Tanzania mainland, including Katavi, Kigoma, Songwe, Rukwa, and Njombe. The project’s goal is to strengthen the Tanzanian health, food, water, and sanitation systems serving women of reproductive age and children under five.
TCDC operates in several regions in Tanzania, with each operational region having a regional manager that serves.
